- Hi..anyone have any experience they can share on the Motorola Premium 33.6?
- Is it worth the extra bucks over the "Power 28.8"? (I would be using it
- primarily for ISP services w/Trumpet Winsock 2.1x, AOL, Prodigy, etc).
-
- Reading Motorola's web page, this thing sounds tres' cool! All sorts of
- spiffy add-on features that try to compensate for line noise (more than the
- normal retrain/etc), and great claims of hot performance.
-
- Would also like to know if either the Premium or the Power LOSES anything
- over other 28.8/33.6's, tho - I have the USR 28.8/33.6 now and it's a piece
- of cow dung..(going back to the store this week!) Can't seem to find
- another better alternative, tho, even tho the 28.8 modem FAQ says the
- downside of the Motos is no V.FC (so compatibility could be a prob with a
- provider here or there?), and no Class 2 FAX?
-
- Anyone found this box in retail stores yet, or via net|mail-order? (Is it
- even OUT yet?) I'm having a tough time finding it here in SE MI..
-
- Finally, I thought I read something here earlier (but can't find it now) on
- upgrade options for either the Power 28.8 or the Lifestyle..I think it was
- a $95 upgrade (or so) to the Premium capabilities.
-
- Any experiences - good, bad or other would be much appreciated!
-
- Thanks -
-
